Pre-Algebra
In Pre-Algebra, the focus is on meeting the Common Core requirements for 7th grade. Some of the topics covered in this course include: integers, fractions, ratios, proportions, percents, simplifying expression, solving equations and inequalities, probability, data analysis, surface area, and volume. Upon completion of Pre-Algebra, each student should be ready to take Algebra 1A, which is the first half of a high school Algebra 1 course. Some students may even be ready to take a full course of Algebra 1. Our goal in Pre-Algebra is to help ensure that our students have a good solid foundation in the Common Core topics. This will help them succeed in the future when facing the rigor and abstract concepts taught in Algebra. Common Core State Standards |
